Red 630-700nm
Increases type I procollagen through stimulation of fibroblast growth factor. Increases Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and decreases MMP-1.

Blue 400-470nm
Blue light consists of a shorter wavelength, this penetrates the epidermis. Ideal for skin concerns such as acne, or superficial wounds.
